Meetings
16th Quadrennial
Solar-Terrestrial Physics Symposium
(STP-16)
The SCOSTEP 16th Quadrennial Solar-Terrestrial Physics Symposium (STP-16) aims to gather eminent scientists from solar, magnetospheric, ionospheric, and atmospheric physics communities to discuss and deliberate on the cutting-edge sciences pertaining to STP, especially the cross-scale coupling processes as a focus area in each of the traditional topics deliberated upon during the earlier STP meetings. A series of tutorials/lectures by eminent scientists will be provided two days prior to the STP-16 symposium, i.e., on 30-31 May 2026, for students and early-career scientists on topics of solar-terrestrial physics

Cool Stars 23
The next edition of the conference series "Cool Stars, Stellar Systems and the Sun" (CS 23) will be held in a hybrid format in Tokyo Bay Area from June 15 to 19 2026, 46 years after its first edition in Cambridge (USA). This first edition was shortly followed that same year by a workshop on "Solar Phenomena in Stars and Stellar Systems" that took place in the southern French countryside, in a small village called Bonas. Both meetings are often considered as the starting point of this exceptionally successful conference series, where approximately 500 international experts in Low-Mass Stars, Solar Physics, and Exoplanets meet every other year to exchange ideas in a cross-disciplinary and friendly environment. We will have CS 23 first time in Asia. Tokyo will be hosting the next Cool Stars, jointly among U.Tokyo, ABC, ISAS-JAXA, and the other researchers based in Japan.

2nd European Solar Physics Division (ESPD) Summer school
The European Solar Physics Division (ESPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS) represents and provides a forum for European scientists, primarily, and any scientist, secondarily, interested in aspects of the physics of the Sun. The objective of the ESPD is the advancement of the study of the Sun, the dissemination of key results of solar physics research to the general public, and the promotion and coordination of such research with other areas and branches of the physical sciences. Every 3 years the board organizes European Solar Physics meeting (ESPM).

Hinode-19 and SOLAR-C
Science Meeting
To mark the 20th anniversary of Hinode, this meeting is organized as a forum to share the results achieved to date and to outline the research process leading to SOLAR-C. Researchers from Japan and abroad will gather at Nagoya University to discuss a wide range of topics, including solar atmospheric heating, flares, and magnetic reconnection. They will also discuss collaborative observations with Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, DKIST, SUNRISE3 and so on. Through these discussions, we aim to build a foundation for international research collaboration toward SOLAR-C, while building on the legacy of Hinode.

NASA 5th Eddy Cross-Disciplinary Symposium
The NASA 5th Eddy Cross-Disciplinary Symposium is presented in collaboration with NASA's Living With a Star Program, and the Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science (CPAESS). This ongoing series of events brings together great minds across the interdisciplinary field of heliophysics. It continues the legacy of the frontier-thinking, cross-disciplinary gathering that the Eddy Symposia have come to define. Each symposium has a unique theme, and within part of its framework, scientific discussions, and creative-thinking sessions, three specialized themes are explored.
📅Conference Date: May 4 to May 8, 2026

Parker Heliophysics Scholars
Parker Heliophysics Scholars (previously PSP Scholars) is a regular and open virtual meeting series to promote Heliophysics related work by early-career scientists from around the world. This platform provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and other early-career researchers, to showcase their research, advance their careers, foster collaborations, and seek guidance. It is also meant to promote diversity and interest in recent space missions (e.g., Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter), ground-based observatories (e.g., DKIST), and heliophysics in general, and do so in a friendly and collegial environment.
