Solar
Polarization Workshop 11
Solar Polarization Workshop 11 (SPW11)
is organized by the
Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague from September 8th to 12th, 2025.
This edition of SPW carries special significance as it commemorates the 30th anniversary since the inception of the Solar Polarization Workshop series, which originated in St. Petersburg in 1995. SPW11 is dedicated to honoring the remarkable contributions of Prof. Javier Trujillo Bueno, a distinguished figure in the field of solar polarization research.

IAU Symposium 400 Solar and Stellar Multi-Scale Activity
The IAU Symposium 400, jointly held with the DynaSun Network Workshop, will address critical knowledge gaps in solar and stellar physics. This combined event aims to leverage recent advancements and foster collaboration between traditionally independent solar and stellar communities, while also exploring cutting-edge research on solar dynamics, heliospheric processes, and their broader implications through interdisciplinary exchange and joint efforts.
IAU Symposium 400, taking place from July 21-25, 2025, in Medellín, Colombia.

Solar Heliospheric and INterplanetary Environment (SHINE) 2025
SHINE stands for Solar Heliospheric and INterplanetary Environment. It is an affiliation of researchers within the solar, interplanetary, and heliospheric communities, dedicated to promoting an enhanced understanding of the processes by which energy in the form of magnetic fields and particles are produced by the Sun and/or accelerated in interplanetary space and on the mechanisms by which these fields and particles are transported to the Earth through the inner heliosphere.
Location: The Gaillard Center in Charleston, South Carolina
Workshop Dates: June 23 – 27, 2025 (Student Day: June 22)

UK Space Weather & Space Environment Meetings
With a UK core, the meeting will be outward looking, where we very much welcome international participation. This is the third in a series of an ongoing meetings based around space weather and the space environment. This in recognition of the spirit of multinational collaboration which needs to be at the heart of enhanced understanding of, and resilience to space weather and the Earth’s space environment.
The long-term purpose of this developing series of UK Space Weather & Space Environment Meetings is to bring together space safety scientists, engineers, forecasters, end-users, and policy makers across the various UK interests and activities. This year’s meeting will have focus on the global challenges in understanding our space environment and space-weather impacts at solar maximum, as well as in seizing opportunities to drive further advances going forward.!

European Space Weather Week 2025
In 2025, the European Space Weather Week will take place in Umeå, Sweden from October 27 to 31. The ESWW is the main annual event in the European Space Weather and Space Climate calendar. It is an international meeting organised annually within the European Region in collaboration with prominent members of the European space weather and Space Climate community. It began as a forum for the European Space Weather community and has since grown into an international event with global attendance.
ESWW2025 will again adopt the central aim of bringing together the diverse groups in Europe working on different aspects of Space Weather and Space Climate: such as scientists, engineers, satellite operators, power grid technicians, communication and navigation specialists, people working in aviation, space weather service providers, STEM* practitioners. The ESWW is highly interdisciplinary by nature and actively promotes investigation of new technologies and approaches e.g. machine learning in a space weather context.
ESWW also welcomes space weather end users. End users constitute any group/organisation making use of space weather data and services. Fields include but are not limited to spacecraft operation, spacecraft design, space and ground based telecoms and navigation services, power distribution, pipeline operation, aviation safety, railway operators, insurance companies, civil contingency planning, and scientists.
ESWW is an excellent place to meet people, to exchange knowledge and ideas, to discuss the latest on solar activity, how space weather influences the earth environment on the short and on the long term and our technologies, and how to deal with space weather.
